The Strategic Air Command Museum became the Strategic Air and Space Museum after it moved to a new facility 25 miles west of Omaha. Still, we fondly remember the old place, with its indoor displays charting the role of the air force in (fortunately) never-realized World War III scenarios.

Adult admission is $5 and children can enter for just $2. When: Saturday, March 31st. We will begin with lunch at Dan's farm at 12:30pm and the SAC museum tour is at 2:00 PM . Where: Dan's farm is located on the same I-80 exit as the SAC Museum, Mahoney State Park and the Simmon's Wildlife Safari Park.

SAC Museum pictures published by s_d_hamilton ... Just found your webshot grouping of the SAC museum in Omaha NE. My parents live about 40 miles from there and I had a chance to visit the museum on 2 January 04. Even more impressive today since they are restoring a B-1A bomber.

The Strategic Air and Space Museum is regarded as the nation's foremost facility of its kind. Whoever said this underestimated it. But the Cold War and Good War are history now, and the SAC Museum has softened with age, planning to settle into comfortable retirement. The facility moved from its old Omaha tarmac to a $30 million, grit-free complex out in suburban-prairie Ashland, adopting a new name.
