Sartre's attitude, indeed, owed nothing to Existentialism but to the extremely doctrinaire Marxism that he eventually adopted. Fixing up "responsibility," evidently, was not good enough. The Existential Void of value had to be filled ... Grafting Marxism onto Existentialism thus simply rendered Sartre's thought incoherent.
