The surface of Saturn bears many similarities with the surface of Jupiter, but the color contrast is generally less. This is thought to be due to Saturn being colder than Jupiter (further from the Sun), so it has different chemical reactions in its atmosphere, leading to different coloration.

The wind blows at high speeds on Saturn. Near the equator, it reaches velocities of 500 meters a second (1,100 miles an hour). The wind blows mostly in an easterly direction. The strongest winds are found near the equator and velocity falls off uniformly at higher latitudes. Equatorial surface gravity (m/sec^2) 9.05...

The irregular shape of Hyperion and evidence of bombardment by meteors make it appear to be the oldest surface in the Saturn system. Most dark material is distributed in a pattern directly centered on the leading surface, causing conjecture that dark material in orbit around Saturn was swept up by Iapetus.

During a tour, I mentioned that Jupiter and Saturn had no solid surface, and then later, I mentioned how the surface gravity of Saturn was only slighly more than Earth, even though it's so much larger. Someone asked, "how do you have surface gravity when there is no surface?" And of course, I had no idea.
