Anyway, back to my hair hurting. What really hurts is the hair roots, the living part of the hair. When you move your hair, it moves the roots and hurts. So it’s like the nonliving part of your hair hurts but it’s really the scalp that’s aching.

i'm 20 years old and i know this sounds weird, but my hair hurts. if i flip my hair one way, the roots of the hair at the interface with my scalp hurts. do you know why that is and how i can prevent it? this only happens to me once in a while even though i do the same thing to my hair everyday.

The pain is all around the roots of my hair and is exacerbated by my pressing on my ultra-sensitive scalp. It's truly a strange sensation, especially since, as I've said, I didn't have a ponytail in, nor am I having a Migraine.

i usually try to run my fingers through my hair along the scalp to try to massage the scalp and lift the hair to alleviate some of the pressure. good luck!
