If you or anyone else have advice on getting off Paxil please let me know. I have heard if you try to ween off that works, but how can you do that. I take 1- 40 mg a day. Best of luck [:I]; ... It takes a long time to get off of these medications safely and most GPs don't put you on a long enough taper schedule,

I've been off Paxil now for about a month. I think I weaned off too quickly. Anyway--I feel like the ... Getting the liquid Paxil gives you the option of going more slowly if you want to. ... been reading everyone's withdrawl process and weaning schedule. im currently on 4mgs, and have been weaning 1 mg at a time on liquid paxil.

Don't rely on the doctors to provide a "weaning" schedule for the meds. I took about six months to get off my last two meds, and even then, I suffered very difficult withdrawal symptoms.
