Charles Delbeek mentioned that iron supplements could benefit the zooxanthellae in the anemones. I found that the addition of CombiSan (which contains iron) seemed to help my sebae anemone regain its color. Moderate current, in addition to clean water, helps exchange needed elements and rid the anemone of waste products.

The White Sebae Anemone is typically light tan with purple tips. When healthy, this species becomes very sticky allowing it to grab onto prey or anything else it comes in contact with. Acclimation of this species is difficult and should be attempted by experienced aquarists only.

1 purple tipped sebae anemone - 8 to 9 mos; I feed the anemone ZooPlex or Invertebrate Smorgasbord weekly. It has been very well, moving about, expanding, contracting. Just recently, it has contracted into a very small tight ball and almost looks as if it is turning inside out.

Beautiful photos and info about Sebae Anemones ... I have 6 ocellaris clownfish and only one is at the moment living inside my anemone. I've also seen this clown taking pieces of squid to the anemone before other fish get to it.
