The diffrence between those two setences: 1)José has never seen the snow. 2)José never saw the snow. They don't have the same meaning, therefore: ... Re: has seen vs saw ... e.g. I have never seen ~ I never saw ~ didn't see. Ex: I slipped coming out of the house and broke my leg. I never saw/didn't see the snow on the steps!

Or, is this point irrelevant since he does not specify that he's seen a million different faces, and just the fact that he's seen the faces themselves. Also, how does he see every face at a given concert. I am not sure I saw every face at my wedding and there were less then 200 people there.
