The MTA (sendmail) notices that the message is addressed to a user at host2.uiuc.edu. Since it is configured to know that it can reach host2.uiuc.edu via SMTP, it passes the message to the SMTP MDA (the SMTP MDA is actually builtin to sendmail, but all other MDAs are external programs).

A member of the mailing list once told me that he just can't wait to read the Sendmail Tutorial (this was before this tutorial has been released) and that he himself runs Sendmail on his computer. Running Sendmail on a personal computer is unnecessary and dangerous.

Re: PHP Sendmail Tutorial ... i followed this tutorial and ran into an error with the stated sendmail.php code.. when i send information through the feedback form although i recieved an email and the address of my choice i didnt recieve any email content apart from the subject.
