Sounds of water in another fixture’s drain lets you know that your sewer is building up water. That should be the point were you should call your plumber. (Ex: If you are washing clothes and you hear water building up in the lines in your bathroom or sink, well you probably have some restriction in your line.)

PLUGGED SEWER LINE-WHAT TO DO ... If you should have a plugged sewer, the first things you should do is not run any additional water down the sewer and shut off your main water shut off valve. Then remove your main sewer clean out cover.
