Cleaning smelly sandals alt.home.cleaning ... My teenage son wears sandals (rubber and leather) all the time during the summer months. They can get pretty smelly. Other than scrubbing them with soap, is there another way to deodorize them? TIA; ... Re: Cleaning smelly sandals...

RE: Leather Sandals Smell Bad ... Very simple solution to smelly leather sandles. First wash them with mild soap and water...use more suds than water to clean off all the dirt. Try not to "soak" the sandles. After they are clean...treat them with a leather cleaner/conditioner.

Anyone have any solutions to the smelly sandals problem? Sorry to post something unsavory but surely I can't be the only one. Or.....am I???? ... A thread in the Healthy Living forum, titled Smelly sandals? ... My DH has a pair of $65 sandals he can not wear but w/ socks because his feet will stink. He bathes daily, really! Maybe spray his feet / deodorent prior to putting them on? They look like a cork lining where his feet touch;
