A hydrophobic molecule is repelled by water; literally, hydrophobe means something with a fear of water. Hydrophobic molecules often cluster together when dropped in water, just as oil does. Hydrophobic molecules are also called lipophilic because they will dissolve in oils and other lipids.

What do "hydrophobic" and "hydrophilic" mean? What makes something hydrophobic or hydrophilic? Where are the hydrophobic and hydrophilic parts of the membrane? Are phospholipids polar or non-polar molecules? How does this effect their interaction with water molecules?

But something that can produce more power than what you put in? Never. If that were true you could use the positive feedback to make a battery power a city. That is the implication of an overunity device. And we know what category that falls into.

He doesn’t yet use words to indicate something concrete or something he wants, but his babbling has expanded to dada, tata, mama, baba, and nana, among others. And he puts all those sounds together in strings of nonsense syllables and cute squeals and trills.

Large patches of hydrophobic sidechains on the surface of the protein suggest that these regions contact something hydrophobic, rather than water. Examples could be proteins that form multimers with each other, or proteins that surround themselves with or bind to lipids.

While it is true that too much fabric softener can "waterproof" (which is the same as making something hydrophobic) your towels and dryer filter, they can't "airproof" them. So long as the filter holes are not clogged, the air should flow through just fine.
