Welcome to Healingwell Cutie65, sores in the nose can be from the dry air. Try using a Saline nose spray first to see if that will help. It will help moisten your nasal cavity and also may help with the stuffy nose.

It is right where the top of the nasal passage curves and seems to be some kind of split in the flesh. It really stings whenever I touch the outside of the nose at that point, but doesn't hurt otherwise, even when I blow my nose.
