Finally, people who seldom venture outdoors may only have seen one long-legged arachnid, the house spider Pholcus phalangioides (below, center), and use the "daddy" term for that. So there is one "daddy-longlegs" which is a spider, and a couple of thousand species which are not spiders.

It has a penis, which makes it different from spiders. In fact, the Daddy Longlegs is not technically a spider, although it is an arachnid. I even learned its mating dance. But what I didn't learn was the answer to your question.

Daddy-long-legs spiders have venom glands and fangs but their tiny fangs are fused at the base and they cannot open their jaws wide enough to bite humans. As they supposedly cannot bite humans, their venom has not been studied in detail.
