Avoid placing satin items in a dryer. Instead, lay the item flat on a clean, dry towel, and roll the towel, jelly-roll style, and apply pressure Satin items should be ironed on a medium/light setting, with no steam. Iron the items inside-out with quick strokes, never allowing the iron to linger too long on any one spot.

Before attempting to wash satin items, check the label for cleaning instructions .... Or, rub white non-gel toothpaste into the spot and wash in cold water.

Spot clean them with some warm water and mild hand soap. I clean my satin shoes with Dry Cleaning Fluid (from the supermarket) you just dab the spots...
