My boyfriend has always been a stingy guy. He hords all his money. He'd stay home if he could so that he could avoid spending money. He rarely pays for dinner unless it's a holiday. Most of our relationship I've covered food and movies.

I would say he is being stingy. My boyfriend makes about $150K a year and well, I am make just over $30K if I am lucky and that includes overtime so I pay 25% of the rent for the house while he pays 75%. We split the other bills like water, trash, and comcast 50/50 because I feel it is fair.
