Generally the same as when you don't have an IUD. However, some women may not get a period or may have a really light period when they have an IUD and so could look for other signs such as breast tenderness, increase in appetite and fatigue...

It is possible to become pregnant with the iud, but it is very rare because there is only a 2 percent chance that it will happen. ... i found on WedMD of people stating pregnancy with the use of the IUD... check on there or just search for "iud seide effects" i have read from several sites of people saying this...

Hi, Joelly, I'm pregnant and I had the IUD in, I took a pregnancy test, I am in the 5th week and my doctor removed the device three days ago, she told me it was dangerous ... I had an IUD for 2.5 years and never had any symptoms like that...I would think if your body was rejecting that, it would have happened well before now. She still has the IUD and we want to continue the pregnancy. Conflicting opinions. Everything I read is to get the IUD out ASAP. The first doctor said leave it there or by removing it the chances are that there would be a miscarriage.
