I reverted back to my maiden name, by seeing a solicitor and asking for a 'change of name deed' it doesn't cost a lot of money, ... you have the choice to take your maiden name back or not- from what I understand- you are allowed to keep your married name- because there is no law that says you have to change it back.

I have just got married and have changed my name to my hisbands as I really wanted to put the past behind me. My 2 daughters have chosen to keep their orginal names for now with the option to take time and decide what to do.
