How I did it: i saw my boyfriend's sister making a blanket (though she had it be one BIG square instead of all the little ones) and wanted to try. before i knew how to knit, and when my grandma tried to teach me how to crochet i always lost stitches and my attempt to crochet a scarf ended up with uneven lines.

For some reason I had asked my mum to teach me how to crochet after seeing her creating a blanket and supposed it must be therapeutic, which it turned out to be! This was the first thing I made using yarn and I haven't looked back since.
