well to lay down what you do is tie a rope to his left ankle, and bring the rope under his belly over his back and on to his left side, tug on the rope a little till his foot is bent, like ur picking his hoof. ... you can't really make a horse sit or lay down, that puts a lot of preasure on their legs and lungs.
