Extraction Theory and General Procedure ... General Extraction Procedur ... Extraction is a very common laboratory procedure used when isolating or purifying a product. Organic chemistry employs solid-liquid, liquid-liquid, and acid-base extractions. The following applies to liquid-liquid extractions, which will be used in...

Most of the time, a liquid-liquid extraction is performed. This implies that the liquids used are immisciblein order to form two layers on contact. Since most of the extractions are performed using aqeuous solutions, the miscibility of the solvent with water is crucial point.

A widely employed method of separating organic compounds from mixtures in which they are found or produced is that of solvent-solvent extraction. Most reactions of organic compounds require extraction at some stage of product purification.

This paper presents a general overview of flow in deformable porous media with emphasis on melt extraction processes beneath mid-ocean ridges. Using a series of simple model problems, we show that the equations governing magma migration have two fundamentally different modes of behaviour.

I had a theory on what was happening. I just wanted to see if a computer simulation, using classical physics, would prove that theory. My theory was this. Heat, the vibrating elements in the material, were responsible for collapsing / forcing the magnetic field in highly permeable material to near zero field strength.
