You may have tried to throw a curveball or a slider, or even a screwball, with an ordinary baseball and found it difficult to do. We've found that it's much easier to throw these pitches and observe the results by throwing a Styrofoam ball.

I really would like to add a hard breaking ball to my arsenal, but I have been having trouble finding a steady grip. Anyone have any advice on grips, techniques, etc? ... plus you don't have to overthrow it. allows you to get more on top of the ball. lot of mlb'ers do this, esp lhp's with mid 80 fastballs.
