It surprises me how ignorant people are when it comes to waiting tables and tipping. ... I've heard the argument that servers are getting paid to deliver food and beverages to your table, so why should they get your hard-earned money for doing their job? The answer is simple. I am always surprised by how ignorant people are about tipping. Most people don't realize waiters are exempt from minimum wage. If they are allowed to keep their tips, they only have to be paid $2.13 per hour.

It lists the rich and famous, whose tipping habits are miserly. May be the waiters do not mind, for they will be happy if these rich and famous allow them to take a photograph with them. Even without that, waiter will be pleased just either for a smile or even a scowl.
