For about 2 weks now, my tongue has had the sensation that I burned it. I don't recall burning it besides usually when you burn your tongue it goes away after a day or so. I have been fighting a sinus/ bronchial infection with antibiotics and over the counter meds- could this be causing my tongue to feel burnt?

One week ago my tongue felt like I had burned it, though I hadn`t. That feeling still remains. (It is not painful, just feels like I burned it.) A few days later, my mouth felt like it had a coating inside that does not go away.

A burnt tongue would be very similar to the look of erythematous candidiasis and somewhat similar in regards to symptoms. The difference lies in the fact that the symptoms associated with a burnt tongue will usually clear up after a day or so.

You may have eaten some soup or something that was a bit hot and didn't feel it at the time. I don't think it would be an allergy because your tongue would be swelling if it was. :0
