In my travels i am finding this top 50 list all over the place already. but i am with you on that "can't believing the crap mr. ... Rand, of the top 50 blogs you list, how many of those blog owners do you know or have you met? I am curious to know how you following a blog is affected by you knowing them in the community.

On that page you’ll find the weekly top 50 search terms and an explanation of which terms were omitted. The results are from Lycos, which I thought no longer existed, but they claim to get 12 million searches per day… so the top 50 will be a decent guide to what people are searching for.

I think that those percentages would make it reasonable to see a couple of the most popular German searches show up but pretty much unlikely that any other one would. I believe a really interesting revision of your script would be to generate statistics for top searches not in en-US.
