One favorite -- a spiderwort hybrid called Sweet Kate (Tradescantia x andersoniana 'Sweet Kate') -- flourishes beside my ornamental fountain pool, where it doesn't mind an occasional bit of extra water when thunderstorms cause the pool to overflow.
