Also with my first child, I had spotting right after I found out I was pregnant, The ultra sound only showed the sac at around 5 weeks. a repeat ultrasound 5 days later showed the heartbeat.

I had my 2nd vaginal ultrasound today and the doc could find only a sac that looks 5 weeks old and it is empty. This is after my ob/gyn failed to see anything clearly on the screen(during vaginal ultrasound) 5 days ago(8 weeks), but thought I might be 6 weeks in.
