I found an image of a Virgin Tiger Moth (Grammia virgo) that prity much exactly matches this guy but it was only one image online (and on the web I don't trust only one source) and I have nothing to confirm it with.

Grammia (Apantesis) parthenice intermedia ; "Tiger Moth"; Family: Arctiidae ... The brightly striped pattern of the wings has inspired the common name of Tiger Moth. Their bodies are stout and furry. If you're lucky, the beautiful virgin tiger moth (Fig. 7) may be attracted to your light. When a tiger moth lands on the sheet, capture it with forceps or a short-handled net. Captured moths can either be observed and released or placed in a killing jar if you wish to keep them for your collection.
