Every page is full of vivid verbs, adjectives, and adverbs with lots of vocabulary to improve SOL skills. Teachers love this book because it is a great example of alliteration and usage of vivid verbs. Children love tongue twisters because it perks up their ears and makes them want to listen.

I used it after I had introduced the students to adjectives and verbs. They had a lot of fun with this activity. I gave them a story starter and asked them to complete the story by adding in 10 awesome adjectives and 10 vivid verbs, as well as a conclusion that tied up all loose ends.
