The final preparation for the launch of the Vostok-1 started with the rollout of the launch vehicle 8K72 No. E10316 with the 3KA No. 3 spacecraft to the launch pad No. 1 in Baikonur. The rocket with its payload fairing blanketed in protective layers, left the assembly building at Site 2 at 5:00 Moscow Time.
