WMS Idle not responding - Microsoft Outlook Installation. Visit our forum to discuss WMS Idle not responding ... now it's back with the hang and the WMS Idle- not responding at Shut Down or Restart. Prior to disabling SS at startup. I had tried Outlook Repair and had reinstalled Outook, neither of which had worked.

Scenario: When restarting or shutting down a Windows XP computer, a dialog opens mentioning that WMS Idle is Not Responding. ... In my instance searching google did not help me, so I disabled all startup apps and then re-enabled them one by one to find the culprit.
