However one time I had missed my period for 3 months. ... The blood was normal for the first few days but now it is dark and watery. Also this is gonna be probably the 12th day since the brown discharge began. I have really minor cramps, not severe. and it seems the pattern of how the blood comes out is irregular.

The last couple days its been kind of watery - i have never had this before. A couple months ago I was on the pill only for a couple days before i decided I didn't want to be on it. My period last month was fine. I have been on and off the pill for around 2 years, and i have never had this.

You will probably start another period in 2 days to two weeks. This next period may or may not be normal but after it is over, your menses may be straightened out. One or two cycles of BC pills would be insurance to really straighten it out (if you can take pills).

Midcycle pink, watery bleeding with cramps ... The menstrual period change is probably just coincidental with the new diet. The only thing that comes to mind is whether or not the low carb diet resulted in more beef or chicken than you normally have.
