take the catalytic converter off. you can punch the guts out of the converter so you have a pipe to got back on the exhaust.

The really strange part is that he only has an exhaust tip....So it is not as if he has a loud, free flowing aftermarket exhaust. What could possibly make the stock exhaust so loud? Would a car with no catalytic converter sound like this?

Of course, a free flowing exhaust would be expected to make more noise than a normal one. But a good manufactured system has a deep throaty tone, while yielding increases in horse power and also passing emission tests.

i dont know why you want to make it louder, but what you need to do is go to your local muffler shop, have them remove the resonator and replace it with a straight pipe. if that doesnt do it, then nothing will. ... i have straight pipes run from my header back and my exhaust is will over 100 db. get rid of the resonators.

I hear that mate. I never considered that aluminized is louder but come to think of it, it makes sense given the exhausts that I have heard! ... Well, I already found the way to make it sound the way I want it... I took my converter and resonator off.. ... You will be shocked when you remove the exhaust manifold heat shields.
