We all have weaknesses but it doesn't mean we tell an interviewer everything that we do wrong. If for example you are interviewing for a project manager job, it's probably best not to mention that you have trouble getting along with people since you're going to be constantly working with others.

Assume that you are a candidate in the coming general election. Tell me why you are the best candidate in the field. Which is the worst of your three greatest weaknesses and why? The interviewer is looking to determine how well you know yourself, how you react to difficult situations/tasks and credibility.

When the interviewer asks 'can you describe your weaknesses?', they mean exactly that. So does this mean you have to tell him/her that you are intolerant...

Use the interviewer's name in conversation occasionally. That single act will do more to endear you than you can imagine. People like to hear their A : The generic answer would be, "I would like to try the technical career track," or, "I want to follow the management career path." ; Q : "What are your weaknesses?"
