Q: I have a problem with my ears popping loudly. My ears pop when I swallow, on varying audible degrees. Sometimes they pop softly and sometimes loud enough for people to hear, or sometimes my ears don ... I have also noticed I can make my ears pop by putting pressure into them without having to pinch my nose or anything.

Sounds to me like you've got a sticky ear mate. It's a build up of wax on the ear drum, I get this all of the time and is a side effect of constant exposure loud music. An appointment with the nurse will sort it - they'll take a look first ...

Hold your nose and keep your mouth shut tight. Try to blow out, bc both of the holes that air comes in and out of are covered you're ears will pop in seconds. Feels weird but if there clogged or your up in high altitudes you'll feel better ...

I live in a pretty high up apartment and everytime i take an elevator down my ears are like plugged! But yesterday when i went downstairs again my ears didn't pop for a REALLY long time. And guess waht? they're still not popped! ... It won't help unblock your ears...but it WILL make you thankful you can't hear her Peace,

This tube acts like a pressure valve and opens to make sure the ait pressure is the same on both sides of your eardrum. When it opens you feel a pop. Normally, each time (or each second or third time) you swallow, your ears make a little click or popping sound.
