Dented Skull ... Since it is just the muscles that are inflammed it causes a ridge around the other areas (if that makes sense?). That could be anything. You could have hit your head on the ground while jumping, you could have been dropped on your head as a baby (most likely), or you could have some disease that makes your skull have an indentation.

Usually when the bones fuse the result is smooth, but I have seen indentations at the fontanels and bulges at the suture lines (immovable joints where skull bones come together). As long as the head grows normally, these are of no significance and do not cause problems down the road.
