basically i have to get my nose cauterized. becaus ... They spray a local anesthetic up your nose and then they cauterize it with an instrument that looks like a soldering iron, then they packed our noses. That may have changed some, because it has been over 30 years ago.

I had this done some years back and yes it did sting for about 24 hours (not too painful, more like having a hot chilli stuffed up your nose) but never had nosebleed problems thereafter.

Anyway, I had a nose cauterization on Sunday 28th Dec after a big bleed, tomorrow weds 31st Dec I need to run eight miles to make my target of 1,000 for the year and I am terrified it ... It happens for example when I walk past the detergents, or perfumes , etc, in a mall.. This causes instant watery eye and nose leaking..

So, after about a year after cauterization, nosebleeds are just as bad as they were before, if not worse. I went in for cauterization at least four times at periodical intervals during my teenage years. The big problem with cauterization is that you can only cauterize your nose a certain number of times.
