As a conservative who longs for limited government and the ideals of the Constitution, I am not ashamed to speculate that quite possibly we would have a better world today had the South won the Civil War.

What if the South won the Civil War? What would America be like today? Its not as far fetched as it sounds. On two occasions, the Army of Northern Virginia came perilously close to dividing the country in two. On a third occasion it would have indefinitely prolonged the war.
