I am assuming that that is pretty darn flat. I looked up ... I've heard that expression all my life, so maybe it's just an Alabama saying. But, unfortunately, even I don't know what a flitter is.

I was browsing your website, and noticed the article about "flat as a flitter". It said that a flitter was a cow pie or cow chip. Not in Southern Indiana it's not! Flitters are flat dumplings. They are made with flour, eggs & a little milk, and rolled out into a very flat dough.
