Four months ago "Glom Filt Rate, Est" was 57.7 but neither doctor brought this to my attention after review of the lab results, so I didn't think it was any big deal. But if a low Glom Filt Rate indicates that my kidneys are not filtering impurities efficiently, shouldn't further testing be done?

Glom filt, rate est 63.8 ; Gfr 77.3 Kidneys stage 2 C-reactive protein, quant 28.3 ; White blood count 14.1 ; Neutrophils, absolute 9.7 C-reactive protein, cardio 27.70 ; Sedimentation rate-westergren 32 ; I know they are looking for inflammtions and they do not know where it is.

My BUN:53, Creatinine, Serum: 7.98 and Bun/Creatinine Ratio is 7. Glom Filt Rate, Est is 6. From what I'm reading on the internet I'm in kidney failure! I just went to the doctor for a headache, no other symptoms.

Doctor ordered kidney functioning blood tests on most recent labs for the first time (Glom Filt Rate, Est). The result was a 62.6. Normal is 90 to 137. 62.6 is "stage 1" kidney damage according to lab report.
