Whether somebody can have nothing is, however, quite a philosophical question. In Polish, not nothing is everything or something is not nothing and not everything is expressed as coś to nic i wszystko. The double negation may be better understood as an answer to a negative question:

Since the prefix dis- is just a prefix, I really don't think it would be considered in a double-negative situation. I think that 'not' (from doesn't) is the only negative in the phrase. I also researched 'doesn't disprove' and many news articles came up. ... Resolved Question...
