I recently was looking through a past issue of Cooks Illustrated and there was an article on saucier pans; one of their top choices was a Farberware S.S. saucier pan for $36.00. This got me wondering... do I need this inexpensive pan for my "love collection?" I know these pans are used for making sauces...

I was lead to a lovely display of, ahem, Calphalon cookware and immediately went for the Saucier Pan as one of our first purchases. Saucier; Now this one is no saucier than the next, but it was attractively styled and seemed to be a nice multi-use pan (which I mistakenly referred to as a "pot").
