My cat is one years old, he's a himalayan blue-sea ... While this medication can be very effective as an anti-anxiety medication it seems to me that it is rather going to extremes for a vet to want to sedate a cat so he will sleep throughout the night.

my vet gave me diazepam 5mg to sedate my cat for im moveing to a place that dont allow pets. i have to sedate him for he is very loud and verbal. I tried a quarter of pill didnt faze him. he weighs 14 to 15lbs. would it be alright to give a whole pill.
