Babies are strange. ... But to address your problem....at about 4-5 months old, he too started taking only 30-45 minute naps....it drove me crazy!!!!! I (finally) discovered that he was needing longer intervals between naps. I had him napping about every 3 hours, and the times would vary depending on what time he woke up in...

My daughter is 8 days old, and she doesn't like to be completely swaddled at nighttime. ... swaddeling has nothing to do with sids. Let the baby be comfortable! My son didn't want swaddled, either. When babies put their arms up over or behind their heads, it's a sign ... My son always sleeps with a hand on or near his face too.
