I can recall going to Disco's in the early 70's. Long before "that stupid movie" came out in 1976. These discos that I went to were quite a bit differnt than the one depicted in "that stupid movie". ... I am saying that once the decision was made to commercialize FUNK and rename it disco the handwriting was on the wall.
