Remove them in about 24 hours and you should see small white worms with black heads(larvae) and/or small greyish brown gnats that dont have wings yet. Be sure to dispose of the potatoes in a way that the gnats cant migrate back to the plants, i.e. put them in the freezer first or seal them in a ziploc bag.
