I have heard that giraffes sleep very little in a 24 hour period. I also seem to remember that sharks don't really sleep? I am interested in sleep in animals and any information you may have.

All animals sleep even though not all of them close their eyes when doing so. Only fish might not sleep - it is not clear yet to biologists. Dolphins sleep when half of their brain is awaken, because their breathing process depends on their brain.
