Perhaps the OP has a ring that is yellow gold plated in white gold, which might indeed turn yellow as the plating wears through. if that is the case, she may have it re-plated to restore the color. If the ring is (supposed to be) solid white gold (eg, an alloy), it should not be turning yellow.

A: White gold is coated yellow gold, from what I remember. Sounds like they've polished the coating off, so you'll need to have it redone. This happens over years/months of wear anyway, which is why my jeweller, who made my engagement ring, advised against white gold, as it was high maintenance.

WHY YOUR WHITE GOLD TURNED YELLOW AND WHAT TO DO ABOUT IT! ... But it still doesn't solve your problem of a "Yellow" looking Ring now does it? What you're seeing when your rings and Jewelry are looking Yellow is the Rhodium Plating wearing off. Rubbing off through normal wear and tear.
