To my knowledge, Jimmy Eat World never recorded a cover of Crimson and Clover. The Promise Ring did cover it though, and on the Jimmy Eat World song "A Praise Chorus", Davey vonBohlen (from TPR) sings the line "crimson and clover, over and over...";

I was going to say he's also still clearly a great performer, but all those Leno appearances have been wiped from the web (surprise), so you'll just have to do with his "Wild Thing" dropping take on "Crimson & Clover," a song originally by by Tommy James and the Shondells, that's since been covered over and over.
