In my opinion necessity really is the mother of invention, but not the mother of innovation because the two concepts are not the same. Sometime ago I wrote an article about the differences between the two concepts, you can check it out here "Invention vs. Innovation".

Necessity Is The Mother Of Invention ... I wrote a few more AIN'Ts that Ian rejected, but were again picked up by the IEEE's Technology and Society journal. Then I returned to invention and how we sometimes don't get it. This one made it into Telemanagement for May, 1991.

Which I wrote last night after drinking a bottle (and a bit) of wine, today.. Has been rather eventful.. Firstly I got up and 4 (I fell asleep at 8 wot with the wine and all) I didn’t have to get dressed as I was still in the same clothes I fell asleep in minus socks and shoes which I must have removed at some point..

programming, photography, ranting ... Well, this all started because I couldn't find the name of one of the guests on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. One thing led to another, and next thing you know, I've written a web ... Lastly, I wrote a CGI script to allow me to search programming information by channel and/or keywords.
