I don't think race horses have such a tough life, they're asked to run hard for about one minute once a month, and even then they're really only asked to give maximum effort for about 20 seconds of that race, ... just can not imagine anyone being so mean to one of mine! maybe they would one be the one getting ~PUT DOWN~
